The three mounting methods
How the screen is fixed depends on the structure and the use — and it changes both cost and access:
- Wall-mounted — fixed indoor screens on solid concrete or reinforced walls; the most common and usually the cheapest.
- Ground-supported — a freestanding frame for lobbies, halls and non-load-bearing walls; spreads the weight and gives easy rear access for service.
- Suspended (flown) — panels hung from rigging bars on steel cables or chain hoists for stages and concerts; needs weight-load calculations and a rigging specialist.
What happens on site, step by step
A clean install follows a clear order, and our drawings cover each step: first the structure is checked to confirm it can carry the weight; the mounting frame goes up and is levelled and aligned so the final surface is dead flat; power is run across multiple circuits (with dedicated circuits, grounding and distribution boxes for larger walls); the cabinets are hung and locked together with seams aligned; the controller is configured; and finally the wall is calibrated for uniform brightness and colour. Flatness and seam alignment are what make a wall look built-in rather than assembled.
Who installs it — and can you do it yourself?
A small, simple screen — roughly under 15 m² on a solid wall — can be installed by a competent AV or electrical technician, or even a capable DIYer, using our documents and remote guidance. Larger or structurally complex walls (flown rigs, tall walls, outdoor structures) should be installed by a local professional with the right access equipment and, where needed, a structural engineer.
